Citizen Working Groups
All good comprehensive plans are based on strong citizen involvement. Powhatan County is blessed with a committed group of people that have volunteered their time to help with this plan. A series of “citizen working groups” (CWGs) have spent countless hours working on several specific topic related to land use, infrastructure, economic development, and Route 60 planning issues. Draft reports were generated by these groups and presented to the public in July. Other CWGs are working on transportation issues and Huguenot Trail planning issues. Reports from the latter CWGs will be posted when they are complete.
